Arts Commission 2010 Concert Schedule: March 12th - "River City
Slim & the Zydeco Hogs" 7:30pm: River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs
bring the exuberant sounds of the steamy bayous of southwestern Louisiana to the
hills of New England. The Zydeco Hogs cook up a spicy musical gumbo that combines
the traditional sounds of the button accordion and washboard with a driving, syncopated
beat.

benefits through May 14th. Homeowners on the tax relief program are due to

Social Action Committee of Congregation B'nai Torah will be coordinating food
drives to benefit the Trumbull Food Bank, the Monroe Food Pantry and Jewish Family
Service on Sunday, March 14 from 10 am to 2 pm at both the Stop and Shop on
Quality St. in Trumbull, as well as Monroe Turnpike (Rt. 111) in Monroe. This
drive will precede the Passover holiday and both Pesadich (Passover) foods and
chometz (non-Passover) foods will be accepted. The need is greater than ever as
the holidays approach and every month more families are in urgent need of assistance.
Donations of non-perishable food items or paper goods such as napkins, tissues

Scouts in Government Day: On March 24th, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will learn
about their town by shadowing town officials, employees and volunteers for the
morning.The Scouts will compete for the privilege of spending the morning with
the officials by submitting essays to the Scouts in Government Day committee.
The town of Trumbull has hosted this event for 35 years. Applications are available
from scout leaders, the Town Clerk's office, and the Trumbull Libraries and are

of fine wines and beers, live music, and auctions. Proceeds will support FOA's
efforts to send a group of high school and college aged youth and adult advisors
on a volunteer home repair trip to Central Appalachia in late June of 2010, as
well as other Appalachia related initiatives. Tickets for the event are
$40 per person, which includes hor d'oeuvres, wine and beer tastings, music, and
