The Planning and Zoning Commission has announced two upcoming Public Forums on the proposed Zoning Regulations. The first session will be May 14th at 7:30 pm, and the second will be held on on May 21st at 7:30 pm (after the regularly scheduled P&Z meeting). May 14th will be on the regulations in general, and May 21st will focus on the proposed Village District around the Trumbull Town Hall, a possible Design District for professional offices on Main Street across from Westfield, and a discussion of proposed Mixed Use regulations. Residents are welcome to attend and express their opinions.

5th Annual American Cancer Society Benefit Tag Sale: The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Trumbull/Monroe will benefit form an huge 20 family tag sale on May 16th and 17th from 8:00 am. to 4:00 p.m. each day on Arbutus Lane in Trumbull. This is the fifth annual event hosted by "Friends for a Cure" with all proceeds benefiting local programs of the American Cancer Society. Follow signs from Daniels Farm Road and Whitney Avenue to find a multitude of treasures. For more information contact, Nancy Barone at 261- 7110.

Trumbull's Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for Monday, May 26th. The parade will begin at the Long Hill Green and proceed down Main Street to Town Hall. A ceremony will follow on the Town Hall Green.

Trumbull Vehicle Park Stickers which permit use of Town parks will be available for pick-up by Trumbull residents beginning April 14th in the Town Hall Annex (5892 Main Street) Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motor vehicle registrations must be presented at time of sticker issuance to prove Trumbull residence.

The stickers are valid for a two-year period ending June 30, 2010, and are issued for use on private passenger, combination, and camper plate vehicles. Use of swimming areas will continue to require display of a driver's license identification with a Trumbull address. Contact the Recreation Department at 452-5060 with any questions, and to ask about obtaining park stickers for child-care providers and guests, and permits for use of local parks for picnics.
